Controller

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Responsible for daily bookkeeping, employee payroll processing, data entry, reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, and invoicing
  • Daily interaction with construction manager for project budgeting
  • Work with project managers on daily costing, actual vs budget, job costing
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
  • Maximizes return, and limits risk, on cash by minimizing bank balances, minimizing interest expense and maximizing use of free cash flow.
  • Primary point of contact for annual external audits, financial and insurance related
  • Prepares information for, and provides information to external auditors
  • Assists in budget preparation
  • Collects, analyzes and consolidates financial data
  • Recommends plans for forecasts and budgets
  • Responsible for Cash management
  • Provides direction and guidance regarding A/P, A/R, Inter-company, Job Cost, and Payroll related issues.
  • Provides management with timely reviews of financial status and condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
  • Monitors and confirms financial conditions by conducting audits
  • Conducts ongoing analysis for job costing and the general ledger (BS and P/L).
  • Prepares special reports and analysis as requested by management
  • Responsible for financial reporting and analysis and optimizing relationships
  • Compiles internal financial report package
  • Compiles financial package for banking institutions
  • Compiles financial package for bonding company
  • Manages the monthly close process
  • Provide direction, leadership and management of month end, quarter end and year-end close.
  • Establish timelines for month-end close and manage processes of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billings, Payroll, Job Cost, and all internal customers.
  • Review and sign off on monthly WIP Schedule
  • Provide management with overview and explanations of changes in job expectations
  • Responsible for fixed assets and operating lease
  • Ensures compliance in regards to annual reports, insurance, licenses and taxes (local, state and federal entities).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in accounting with an emphasis in construction
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required. Masters of Professional Accounting or MBA preferred, CPA highly desired.
  • Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management and working bank knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines completely
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload to produce desired results 
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Outlook
  • Cash based accounting, job cost accounting, fixed assets accounting required

SALARY:
Estimated Starting Salary $70,000 year / depending on experience
Paid vacation, 401k, profit share opportunities

Construction Laborers

Job Summary
Locally owned and operated luxury design build company seeking Construction Laborers for ongoing and new projects in the Franklin, Brentwood and Nashville area.

Starting at $15-20/hr+ depending on experience WITH GROWTH POTENTIAL!
FULL-TIME

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Must have ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Attendance and punctuality are extremely important. Must have a valid drivers license and vehicle as you will likely go to multiple job sites. Knowledge of tools, materials and techniques required for the construction, repair, demolition and/or remodel of buildings and other structures.
  • This job WILL REQUIRE physical activity, including but not limited to standing, reaching, lifting, kneeling, stooping, climbing and balancing.
  • Must show ability to follow all health and safety regulations and perform other tasks as asked by management in a timely and efficient manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Some construction experience, including but not limited to framing, site clean-up, demolition, drywall, trim, etc.
  • Experience in proper operation of a variety of power hand tools.
  • Attention to detail and desire for quality work.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Must have reliable transportation with ability to haul tools and materials
  • Required education: High school GED or equivalent
